On November 16, 1773, he married Marie-Thérèse of Sardinia, better known under the name Marie-Thérése of Savoy, by whom he had two sons - Louis Antoine, Duke of Angoulême, and Charles Ferdinand, Duke of Berry -, and two daughters , died in infancy.
